Exclude Files / Folders Setting

Fine-tune backup size and noise by excluding cache, temp files, and known disposable paths.

Supported Input Format

Entries can be separated by spaces, commas, or new lines.

• Relative path: wp-content/cache/
• Absolute path: /var/www/html/wp-content/cache/
• Glob: *.log, wp-content/uploads/*.tmp

Matching Rules

Path entries remove exact targets and descendants. Glob entries support wildcard pattern syntax.

wp-content/cache/ node_modules/ *.log
wp-content/uploads/temp,wp-content/debug.log
wp-content/uploads/*.tmp

Invalid patterns do not fail backup. They log warning level diagnostics.
